Black Lips Stream New Album 'Underneath The Rainbow' [Listen]

Atlanta's Black Lips have uploaded the full stream of their new album 'Underneath the Rainbow' today scheduled for releases on VICE Records on March 17th.

Recording this album was split between New York with Thomas Brenneck, who was recommended by Arabia Mountain producer Mark Ronson, and Nashville with the Black Keys' Patrick Carney, who offered to help produce in a Mexico City hotel room just before dawn.

"It was one of those super-late-night/super-early-morning drunk talk sort of situations, so we weren't sure if he meant it," explains Jared Swilley. "People do that all the time. We were going to call it The Dark Side of the Rainbow, then we googled it and realized that's what they call that thing where you watch The Wizard of Oz while listening to Pink Floyd and it syncs up."

The band have also released a new behind-the-scenes video featuring Carney and the band working on 'Dandelion Dust,' 'Funny' and 'I Don't Wanna Go Home' at Blackbird Studios in Nashville. They also feature at Dunham Studio in Brooklyn with producer Tommy Brenneck whilst hammering out the vocals for 'Boys In The Wood' on one-inch tape.
