Giles Peterson Favourite 'Boris Carloff' Releases New Album 'The Escapist' Released May 6th 2013

Boris Carloff is producer, composer, engineer and musician whose musical style is hard to pinpoint but lets just say that it takes in the flavours of jazz, guitar rock and electronic music. Boris comes from the Czech republic and has a classical education in the violin and has played as a musician in Norway, UK, Germany and Italy.

Combine all this with a childhood musical diet of the Jazz classics and it's easy to recognize his musical inspiration and discipline. His debut was on London based label Tracktion with project called Palm Beat.Then he's signed to Red Salamanda records as an artist and he had his release Good Stuff EP '. The EP was received well from all corners of this world. Most notably were the two airings on Gilles Peterson's Worldwide BBC of the track called 'First Joy '. His other track was also released in Japan with label NURO.. Localy in Czech republic he was nominated for Best sound Czech Grammy in 2006 year for album Dreamer of Czech band Sunshine.

Now he is releasing his first international solo album "The Escapist", which is dark  avantgarde mix of classic music, indie rock, jazz and  mainly  - electronics . The album is reaction to death of his brother and father in the past two years, On the album participated also Doug Yowell drummer from Lana Del Ray and Suzanne Vega and Ghetto Priest , also singer Ghetto Preist ex Asian Dub Foundation.
