Kid Acne Curates New Stage For Unknown, Croatia On 10th - 14th September 2013

Today Unknown Croatia reveals a unique collaboration with globally revered street artist Kid Acne plus news of the first arena at this years magical event. Delving deeper into the hidden wonders of Unknown, Newcastle based art collective and gallery 'Unit44', present the first arena as 'Fire and Brimstone'. Built from scratch by Unit44 and Kid Acne the bespoke arena will feature brand new 'Stabby Women' characters from the artist as well as a phenomenal musical line-up including  Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs [DJ set], Waze & Odyssey, Erol Alkan, Daniel Avery, Trevor Jackson and more.

Unit44 and Kid Acne will be travelling from the UK by road, documenting their entire voyage along the way by film. The aim is to pass through as many European hot spots as possible within a two day window before finally landing in Rovinj to create a completely bespoke area for the festival. The stage will be tucked away within the festival forestry comprised of new work from Acne, a series of oversized 'Stabby Women' characters and signature slogans; part soul BBQ, part block party, with a touch of seclusion and cultural nourishment. Over the coming weeks Unknown will be releasing a host more arts and immersive programming to take place over the event.

Kid Acne's work can be seen throughout the globe, both inside and outside of galleries, adorning the streets of London, New York and now the trees of northern Croatia. Revellers will enter a world entirely of Acne's making, stumble across shielded women characters alongside the sounds of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs [DJ set], Erol Alkan and Daniel Avery. Unknown Croatia undoubtedly offers an entirely unique experience for ticket holders, intertwining the worlds of music and art in one of the most beautiful settings in the world, what better way to end the summer season.

Unknown is a new event from the experienced teams behind Hideout Festival, The Warehouse Project and Field Day. With over 100 artists and over twenty club and brand partners in total performing between 10th-14th September 2013, they have successfully co-created an inspiring and diverse event concept in the utopian setting of Croatia that continues to stimulate educated music lovers worldwide.
