Palace Stream New Track 'Bitter' [Listen]

London-based newcomers Palace share new track 'Bitter' ahead of their debut EP Lost In The Night via Beatnik Creative on 20th October.

They supported Jamie T at his sold-out London show and will have their debut headline show at St. Pancras Old Church on 15th October. More dates to be announced soon.

London newcomers Palace have had an exciting opening month. Debut track 'Veins,' from the forthcoming EP, was an instant online success - it racked up almost 50,000 streams in it's first two weeks online and had the critical praise to match from BBC Introducing, Clash, DIY and NME. They were also handpicked to support Jamie T at his sold-out London show last week at the Dome in Tufnell Park.

The band is made up of close friends Leo Wyndham (vocal, guitar), Rupert Turner (guitar), Will Dorey (bass) and Matt Hodges (drums).

Their second ever gig was supporting James Iha of the Smashing Pumpkins at the 2000 capacity Bush Hall. The band have been since gathering a dedicated following and focusing on their first release.

Their music carefully oscillates between moments of broodiness to epic grandeur crescendos over lead man Leo Wyndham's urgent vocals - touching on the blues of Peter Green, the pop sensibilities of Foals and the rock n roll attitude of Kings Of Leon's early output.

The Lost In The Night EP was self-produced and engineered at a north London studio. It's an emotive and ambitious EP, exploring romance ('Veins'), jealousy ('I Want What You Got') and self-judgement ('Bitter').

Live: 7th August - London, The Dome *supporting Jamie T
15th October - London, St. Pancras Old Church
