Roadkill Ghost Choir Stream New Song 'Down & Out' Plus Announce New Autumn 2014 Us Tour Dates

Roadkill Ghost Choir are excited to release "Down & Out," another new song, from the band's upcoming album In Tongues.
"Down & Out" follows in the footsteps of previously released tracks "Slow Knife" and "A Blow To The Head," and fans will receive all three songs as instant downloads when they preorder new album In Tongues today. In Tongues is set to be released on August 19
About the song, lead singer Andrew Shepard said, "Hello friends, we'd like to share with you another new song for your listening pleasure called "Down & Out" from our upcoming album "In Tongues". This song was written and demoed almost 3 years ago in my bedroom. Finally, it's crawling out of the shadows to meet you and shake your hand. We're also really pleased to be announcing the upcoming tour with our good friends in Caveman, The Eastern Sea, and Washed Out. We'll be playing a lot of material from our new album on this run so brush up on the words and sing along with us. Thanks for being you. See you soon."
The band have announced additional tour dates this fall in support of In Tongues. The tour, which follows their festival appearances at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, will travel through major markets, including New York City, Washington DC, Chicago, and many more. Emerging from the desolate heart of Central Florida, Roadkill Ghost Choir make unsettling, powerful American rock-Tom Petty by way of Radiohead and Cormac McCarthy. Set against Kiffy Myer's ghostly pedal steel, singer and main songwriter Andrew Shepard triumphantly conjures an allegorical American landscape of drifters, specters and violent saints. Andrew's brothers Maxx (drums) and Zach (bass) Shepard round out the rhythm section, and Stephen Garza handles lead guitar.
The band released their debut EP 'Quiet Light' in 2013 in the midst of a touring run that included opening for Band of Horses and festival slots at New York's Governor's Ball, Austin City Limits and Shaky Knees in Atlanta, GA. In January 2014, the band was invited to perform on the David Letterman Show, where they performed "Beggar's Guild."
