Tarantino Featured Black Strobe Return For 'Going Back Home' Ep Released In The UK On 2nd June 2014
Their EP 'Going Back Home' is coming out on 2nd June via Blackstrobe Records and !K7. Renowned French producer and Electroclash pioneer Arnaud Rebotini's band return after two years, ready to build on that stunning year of 2012.
Back then they launched two new singles: Boogie In Zero Gravity and The Girl From The Bayou. The unique Western feel with electronic sensibilities came to the notice of Quentin Tarantino - who used Black Strobe's cover version of I'm A Man for the trailer of Django Unchained - and Dior, who chose the same track to advertise their perfume Eau Sauvage. Martin Scorsese has since gone on to most recently use Black Strobe's 'Bloodshot Eyes' for The Wolf On Wall Street.
New single 'Going Back Home,' sees a change in direction for the band and the EP comes with another new composition and a cover version of Rufus Thomas' Tiger Man, made popular by a certain Elvis Presley. The 3 tracks allow Arnaud Rebotini and his gang to mix rock and blues guitars with electronic loops and dancefloor beats, all crowned by the silky smooth crooning of Rebotini himself.
