Team Me Announce Headline UK Tour This May 2012
Having already played almost 50 concerts in 2012, including packed venues at SXSW, Eurosonic and The Lexington in London, Norwegian indie-pop outfit Team Me are returning to the UK for a 7-date tour including Camden Crawl, Live At Leeds and Simple Things Festival in Bristol.
The bands full-length debut 'To The Treetops!' (March 2012, Propeller Recordings) has been critically acclaimed across the world, as well as being awarded a Norwegian Grammy for "Best Pop Album".
With equal shades of light and dark, the album takes the listener on a journey throughout the band's diverse influences - as grandiose as it is fragile and intimate, 'To The Treetops!' is an enchanting collection of rich, orchestrated pop songs.
Team Me have proven to be one of Scandinavia's most innovative and promising acts. Throughout the last year, Team Me played a number of festivals across Europe, and also supported The Wombats on their many tours of Europe, the UK and Scandinavia.
In late March, NME included Team Me in their "10 Best New Bands At SXSW" feature, and Team Me sold out their biggest headline show so far at OsloÂ?s Rockefeller, selling out its capacity of 1300 people several weeks in advance. Team Me's journey continues, with the band confirmed to play UK summer festivals, including Latitude and Summer Sundae Weekender, and other European festivals as Dour, Haldern Pop and Roskilde Festival.
But first Team Me will be playing their first headline tour across the UK this week.
