The Madcaps Announce Debut Self Titled Ep Released April 1st 2014

It's clear from the first riff that French rock'n'rollers The Madcaps wear their influences proudly on their sleeves. Theirs is a sound reminiscent of that golden era in garage rock that so many of today's artists like King Tuff, Growlers and the Allah Las pay homage to with every note struck. With their new EP they're looking to bring back that golden age.

Debut release, eponymous The Madcaps EP, is a four-track selection of wild, fresh, garage pop with a foot firmly placed in the of lo-fi, fuzzed-out rock territory. All veterans of the music scene, the guys started recording and playing together in September of last year after bumping in to each other at shows. After a summer of 'singing on the beach on the coast of Britanny, by the pool or under of the shades of the trees in the garden of great big old house in the South of France' Dahyot had some demos ready and the band blitzed the studio.

Hailing from Rennes, the band is made up of songwriter Thomas Dahyot on vocals and rhythm guitar, Remi Peltier on drums, Vincent Henri on lead guitar and Bastien Bruneau behind the bass.

The Madcaps EP will be out April 1st on Howlin' Banana Records.
