Walt Disney Records And (Red) Join Forces To Fight Aids In Sub-saharan Africa With Special Edition Album The Lone Ranger: Wanted Released August 5 2013

In the true spirit of the Lone Ranger who stands for justice and good, Walt Disney Records partners with AIDS charity (RED) to create its first special edition (RED) product: an exclusive version of 'The Lone Ranger: Wanted' album featuring music inspired by the new action adventure film starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer.
 
The (RED) edition of the album will be exclusively available at iTunes Music stores and, in addition to featuring 14 new songs from a diverse set of artists, will also include an exclusive download 'The Making of The Lone Ranger' mini documentary video. For every full album sold across iTunes stores, Walt Disney Records will donate o0.26 to the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. For people living with AIDS in Africa,o0.26 could buy one day's worth of life saving anti-retroviral medication.
 
Inspired by one of the summer's most anticipated movies, Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films' "The Lone Ranger," The Lone Ranger: Wanted features 14 new songs performed by an eclectic group of artists including Iggy Pop, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals and Gomez. Walt Disney Records will release the album in the UK on August 5, 2013.
 
"These are the artists we listened to on the way to set each morning and in the evenings with the dust, like bitter chalk, upon our teeth.  Echoes of their passionate performances in our minds, for 150 days and nights, we took to the work of storytelling.  May the musicians and songwriters who inspired us on our epic journey be an inspiration to you on yours," said Gore Verbinski, the film's Academy Award©-winning director.
