We Cut Corners Announce UK Album 'Today I Realised I Could Go Home Backwards' Will Be Released 25th March 2013
Irish duo We Cut Corners's album 'Today I Realised I Could Go Home Backwards' is getting a UK release. We Cut Corners write short songs for drums and guitar. The debut album, already released in Ireland, was one of the best received debut albums by an Irish band in recent times and was nominated for the Choice Music prize for album of the year.
The debut album by We Cut Corners is being released in the UK on 25th March 2013, preceded by the release of Digital Single 'Go Easy' mixed by Ben Hillier out 11th March 2013. I'd be delighted if you could lend your ears to the record and consider it for review or feature.
John Duignan and Conall Ó Breacháin met in university and bonded over a shared love of Ryan Adams and Radiohead. They spent several years accumulating songs until they felt they had found a style and sound that represented them. They worked with acclaimed Irish producer Jimmy Eadie (Jape) on 'Today I Realised I Could Go Home Backwards'. Upon its release they began to forge a formidable live reputation and have now established themselves as one of Irelands most dynamic and interesting live acts appearing at The Great Escape, Eurosonic and opening for bands such as Frightened Rabbit, The Maccabees and Joan as Police Woman, amongst others.
The digital release of the debut album will include two bonus tracks - album track remixes by Irish artists Sacred Animals and Low Sea.
The album is released on Irish independent Delphi through Republic of Music in the UK.
