Prince Harry is ''looking forward'' to meeting his new niece Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

The 30-year-old royal - who is now fifth in line to the throne - is currently finishing up his time in Australia, where he has been seconded to the military for a month, so hasn't had time to visit the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge since the baby's birth on Saturday (02.05.15).

Speaking to PEOPLE Magazine during a walkabout at Sydney Opera House, Prince Harry said: ''I am looking forward to meeting her. She is beautiful. I have been given a hell of a lot of cuddly toys from (well-wishers) this morning and other things,''

While the rest of the royal family, as well as Kate Middleton's family have met the new Windsor, Prince Harry is about to travel to New Zealand for an official tour on behalf of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth, so will still have to wait a bit longer to meet his niece.

As for his brother and sister-in-law, Prince William and Duchess Catherine recently left Kensington Palace for their country home, Anmer Hall, about 110 miles north, where they are expected to spend most of the summer.

The 10-bedroom mansion - which was recently refurbished to add a tennis court, swimming pool and conservatory - is situated on Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham Estate in England and was given as a gift by Her Majesty to the royal couple.
