Controversial American rapper Snoop Dogg has dedicated his new single to Prince William and insists that he recorded the track specifically to celebrate the engagement of the British royal to Kate Middleton. 28-year-old PRINCE WILLIAM announced last month that he is to marry long-time girlfriend Middleton in London next year, and his brother Prince Harry was reported to be organising a bachelor party featuring a performance from SNOOP DOGG.
The rapper says he is yet to be asked to play at the event but revealed that he recorded new track 'Wet' in honour of the engagement. Speaking to AllHipHop.com, the 39-year-old said, "When I heard the royal family wanted to have me perform in celebration of Prince William's marriage, I knew I had to give them a little something. Wet is the perfect anthem for Prince William or any playa to get the club smoking".
The song has been produced by the band The Cataracs and will feature on SNOOP DOGG's upcoming studio album 'Doggumentary Music', which is set to hit shelves in March 2011. To celebrate the single's release, the rapper has requested that fans record a video of themselves dancing to the song, and the winner will win a trip to the UK.
