Lady GaGa and Prince are writing new songs for director Baz Luhrmann's new period piece blockbuster The Great Gatsby, according to one of his stars.
Actress Adelaide Clemens let it slip in a recent interview that the two pop superstars have "approached" the moviemaker with a view to supply songs for the soundtrack of the film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan.
She tells IndieWire.com, "They have some new music that's going to be added to the film. Some pretty huge artists have approached Baz and are writing songs for the film, and I don't think Warner Bros. are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door... I don't know if I'm allowed to say that."
Luhrmann has a little time to play with if he is to revamp his soundtrack - The Great Gatsby's Christmas Day (25Dec12) release has been pushed back by six months. The original trailer for the film, which was released earlier this year (12), featured Jay Z and Kanye West's No Church In The Wild.
