Pop superstar Prince is to release two albums in 2009.
The hard-working singer/songwriter's new releases, tentatively titled MPLSOUND and Lotus Flower, will be sold in digital form on a new Prince website, according to the Los Angeles Times.
A "major retailer" is in talks with the Purple Rain hitmaker to release the music physically.
Prince will also release a third album, called Elixir, as a collaboration with his protege Bria Valente, a new act he insists is just like Sade.
Prince's last studio album, Planet Earth, was first released as a free CD with U.K. newspaper the Mail on Sunday in July 2007.
