Australian-born entertainer ROLF HARRIS paid a visit to British royal residence Buckingham Palace to pick up his third regal accolade yesterday (02NOV06). Harris, who famously painted monarch Queen Elizabeth II's portrait last year (05), was made a Commander of the British Empire (CBE). The 76-year-old was appointed a Member of the British Empire (MBE) in 1968 and an Officer of the British Empire (OBE) in 1977. He received the honour from PRINCESS ANNE, saying, "Every day I think to myself, what a charmed existence I've had. "Anne was really lovely. She said, 'This is a pleasure I didn't expect to be having,' which was really nice." As well as painting, Harris has also presented hit veterinarian TV show ANIMAL HOSPITAL and topped the UK chart with TWO LITTLE BOYS in 1969.
