Queen Elizabeth II has helped to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest parade of boats after leading a 1,000-strong fleet along London's River Thames as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
The British monarch, 86, stepped onboard the the Spirit of Chartwell royal barge with her husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, her son and heir Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, and his children Princes William and Harry to greet more than one million revellers who braved the wind and rain and lined the Embankment eager to catch a glimpse of the royal party.
Prince Charles' wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge - wearing a red Alexander MCQueen dress and matching hat - were also onboard as the barge sailed down the Thames, leading the majestic flotilla through the heart of the British capital.
Prince William's in-laws followed on a steamer boat as Catherine's siblings James and Pippa Middleton beamed and waved to fans along the journey.
The Diamond Jubilee Thames River Pageant was the largest public event in the four days of celebrations over the long weekend (02-05Jun) to mark The Queen's 60 years on the throne.
A star-studded outdoor concert is due to take place on the grounds of Buckingham Palace on Monday (04Jun12), with performances by the likes of Sir Paul MCCartney and Sir Elton John.
