Quentin Tarantino will make a cameo appearance in 'Django Unchained'.

The director - who is known for popping up in roles of varying sizes in his own films, including 'Inglourious Basterds', 'Death Proof' and 'Reservoir Dogs' - even took some lines of one of his cast, Rex Linn, because he liked a particular scene so much.

'CSI: Miami' star Rex told OXC: ''Quentin told me that he liked the scene so much he wanted to be in it, too, and that he would also be taking some of my lines.

''So, you'll know the scenes when you see them. We'll be on the screen with Don Johnson and Jonah Hill. The scenes may not be long, but you will remember them.''

Despite losing some of his lines, Rex loved working on the film, particularly because of the acclaimed director.

He said: ''Quentin has more enthusiasm than anyone I've ever met. There is always some kind of chase scene or action scene going on inside his head.

''It's not my movie. I'm just happy to be in the movie. I mean it's the most anticipated movie of the rest of this year. It's a dream come true.''

'Django Unchained' is released in America on December 25 and January 18 in the UK.
