Actress Rachel Bilson was overcome with emotion at her cousin's wedding two years ago (06) - after receiving a text message offering her a role in new sci-fi action movie JUMPER. The former The O.C. star was partying with family and friends when director Doug Liman texted her to see if she wanted to appear opposite Hayden Christensen, her reported new boyfriend, in the film. She says, "I was at my cousin's wedding in Tennessee and I got a text message. I guess it's the new way to cast someone in a movie - the director just text messages you. It's not bad, I wouldn't mind if it happened more often. "Doug Liman sent me a text message and asked me what I was doing. I was like, 'Literally, right now? I'm at my cousin's wedding.' He's like, 'Well, what are you doing this fall (autumn)?' 'Working on a TV show.' 'OK, are you gonna come be in my movie?' I was like, 'Mmm, I'm going to have to talk to some people about that. Hopefully it will work out.' And it did."
