Ralph Fiennes has signed up to star in the forthcoming Brit-com THE MEN AT THE PRU, it has been revealed.
The actor will take on an as yet unnamed part in the film which is being penned by Ricky Gervais and STEPHEN MERCHANT.
Set in the 1970s, the film will be the first time the pair, who were responsible for TV hits THE OFFICE and EXTRAS, have written and directed a film together.
The picture is set to start shooting later this year and it looks set to be a busy 12 months for Fiennes who is committed to a range of other roles, including the final instalment of the Harry Potter franchise.
Fiennes has starred in a string of hit movies including SCHINDLER'S LIST, THE ENGLISH PATIENT and WALLACE & GROMIT: THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT.
He as also won a number of awards for his Shakespearean acting on stage.
