Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon enjoyed a 'Pink and blue' baby shower at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills on Sunday (06.03.11) to celebrate the upcoming arrival of their twins.
Mariah Carey arrived at her baby shower on Sunday (06.03.11) in a Rolls-Royce car - and her husband Nick Cannon was the chauffer.
The singer, who is pregnant with twins, pulled up outside the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills at 7pm in the luxurious black vehicle - which the 'America's Got Talent' host bought his wife for Christmas.
As they stepped inside the hotel and made their way to The Conservatory Grill the couple discovered it had been transformed into a sea of Pink and blue flowers and balloons. The coloured theme was chosen because they are expecting a boy and a girl.
A source told People: "Mariah had been anxiously awaiting her shower, and she was very excited when she arrived at the hotel. She couldn't wait to celebrate her baby twins with her friends."
Guests, who included 'American Idol' judge Randy Jackson, sat at cocktail tables and were served gourmet canapes and Angel champagne.
The 'We Belong Together' singer was lavished with gifts, including
two giant stuffed giraffes, a pair of handmade chairs and a $2,000 custom-made bedding set for a crib.
The source added: "Mariah had the best time at her shower. She was very touched by how nicely everything turned out and excited about all the generous gifts she received. The shower was an event that she really enjoyed and that made her very happy. Now she can't wait to meet her twins."
