Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry were forced to cancel an outdoor gig in Michigan this week (ends30Jun13) after a massive storm hit the area.

The two groups were due to play at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan on Thursday (27Jun13), but the show was called off shortly before the groups were due to hit the stage due to a bad weather warning.

Organisers broke the news to fans and put the decision down to safety fears.

A statement from the venue reads, "In the interest of fan safety and inclement weather, Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry have decided to postpone... (the) concert at DTE Energy Music Theatre. Fans should hold onto their tickets, a reschedule date is in the works and will be announced as soon as confirmed."
