Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis turned down the chance to buy works by graffiti artist Banksy before he hit the big time.
The singer is an avid art enthusiast and was approached by the reclusive Brit who offered to sell several of his pieces to him.
However, Kiedis was in "tour mode" and was too busy to strike a deal - and now regrets his hasty decision because Banksy's works now sell for millions.
He tells Britain's The Sun, "I met Banksy years ago and made the mistake of not buying his art when I met him. It was offered to me. I was in the tour mode of, 'Got to get to soundcheck' and whatever.
"But I appreciate it nevertheless and I'm happy for him and the wave that he's created. It could have been a big investment, but these things happen."
