Red Hot Chili Peppers have become the first act to debut atop America's Billboard Modern Rock Chart since 1994. The California group's new tune DANI CALIFORNIA crashed into the top of the charts last week (06APR06), becoming the first song to achieve the feat since REM's WHAT'S THE FREQUENCY KENNETH? The Chili Peppers also hold the Modern Rock Chart record for the band with the most time at number one - they've spent a total of 59 weeks there. Dani California is the group's ninth number one Modern Rock Chart track.
