British rockers Reef are heading to the recording studio to work on their first album in 11 years.

The Place Your Hands hitmakers enjoyed success in the 1990s but split in 2003 after a decade together. The bandmembers reunited for a comeback tour in 2010 and have performed several concerts and festivals each year since.

Singer Gary Stringer has now revealed to Scotland's Daily Record newspaper that the band is working on new material, 11 years after its fifth album, Together.

Guitarist Kenwyn House is the only original member not joining in the project. He left the band earlier this year (14) and was replaced by Jesse Wood, the son of Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood.
