A top session cellist has drowned in Switzerland on the eve of a performance with Regina Spektor at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Daniel Cho, who has performed with Katy Perry and Coldplay, was a member of Cooper, whose songs have appeared on hit MTV show The Hills.
Cho drowned in Lake Geneva on Tuesday (06Jul10), according to website GenevaLunch.com.
Spektor dedicated her set to Cho but reports suggest she was distraught throughout her festival appearance and had to take several breaks. She also asked photographers to stop taking pictures.
Cho reportedly drowned while swimming with a friend near the Chillon Castle in Montreux.
