Rapper Remy Martin plans to bring a little Thanksgiving cheer to her home neighbourhood of Castle Hill, New York when she hands out turkeys to fans later today (23NOV05).

The Bronx-born rap star plans to stage a two-hour turkey giveaway at the Jessica Guzman Medical Center this evening.

She tells MTV News, "It feels good to give to anybody. It feels especially (good) when you give to people you know can't afford it.

"I'm a very giving person and to give to people you don't even know - help someone out with that $20 or $30 they would have to spend on a turkey - that alone feels good. I'm thankful for what I have and I give what I can."

The rapper's generosity won't end there - after the turkeys are handed out, she plans to give out copies of her latest mixtape, MOST ANTICIPATED, at a nearby record store.

Meanwhile, the date of Martin's new official album, THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT REMY, has been pushed back from December (05) to February (06) - to tie in with the 7 February (06) anniversary of her mentor, rap icon Big Pun's, death.
