Frank Sinatra's party lodge in the California desert has been taken off the market after movie stars Richard Gere and Nicolas Cage missed opportunities to purchase the sprawling property. Both stars viewed the private hillside estate in La Quinta, according to Palm Springs, California realtor RAJ BESHARAT but found Sinatra's former home a little too reclusive - it's a 20 minute drive up a hillside. The current owners of the Sinatra lodge have since taken the home off the market and decided to extensively modernise the pad. Besharat says, "It's not, not for sale. It's just not on the market. I've been told I can show the estate to potential buyers, but we're not actively seeking them." Besharat, the former owner of Elvis Presley's desert home, insists the Sinatra lodge would be a wonderful place for the likes of Angelina Jolie and BRAD PITT - because it's so remote and private. He adds, "The house is well worth the $4 million the current owners are now looking for. They have gutted the house and installed air conditioning in every room. The place also comes with a hotel generator that kicks in immediately if there's a power cut." The added perk is the estate comes with Sinatra memorabilia, which decorates the living room.
