British comic Ricky Gervais is so desperate to express himself freely, he is planning an anarchic internet-only radio slot away from the constraints of broadcast authorities.

The Office creator is already a popular radio personality on London station XFM, but he insists he can be at his hilarious best on an uncensored talk show where he doesn't have to watch his language or steer clear of sensitive issues.

He says, "A wrong word now could see the station fined - but a podcast would give us free reign.

"It's a step forward in broadcasting, protecting creativity without advertising or radio authority."

An Xfm spokesman assures listeners Gervais will return to the station this Christmas, adding, "Ricky enjoys (it). He'd just like to say whatever he wants."
