Riccardo Tisci has created custom-made Givenchy Couture outfits for Rihanna's 'Diamonds' world tour.
The singer debuted the looks on stage at her first stop in Buffalo, New York, on Saturday evening (09.03.13), where she performed at the First Niagara Center.
The pieces reflect the designer's ''obsession'' for sportswear and streetwear elements, with a hint of the ''strong sensual iconography'' featured in the fashion house's menswear autumn/winter 2013 collection.
Tisci explained: ''I enjoyed making these looks. Rihanna represents what young and amazing means today. She is punk and talented. She offers intelligence, energy and pure beauty.''
The 'We Found Love' hitmaker's opening outfit is a ''dark and romantic'' black floor-length silk cape paired with seductive nappa thigh-high boots.
Other pieces which will be worn throughout her tour include a white leather bra, silk satin mini shorts and an embroidered parka.
Tisci thinks the songstress ''inspires'' other females and is the perfect model for his designs.
He added: ''Rihanna has what every girl inspires to have. She is the face of her generation.''
Rihanna was thrilled when she received a specially-made T-shirt from the designer and shared her excitement with followers on Twitter.
In a caption accompanied with an Instagram photo, she gushed: ''Woooiiiii!!! How phucked up is this?!! Oh Riccardo, you really outdid yourself this time!!! What a wonderful surprise, thank you #Givenchy #VeRihRARE #PhreshOut #stayinyolane #phuckyolane #whatlane (sic)''
