Rob Lowe once saw a couple having sex in the audience when he was on the London stage.

The 47-year-old actor was starring in the West End version of 'A Few Good Men' in 2005 when he spotted two people enjoying each other's company in the Royal Box, something which led him to be somewhat distracted during his performance.

He told the Independent newspaper: "They were directly in my eye-line and at it in the middle of the show! I asked the other actors if they'd had this experience and my co-star Alex Kingston said the same thing had happened to her at another theatre.

"I gather this couple was trying for some sort of record by having sex in every West End theatre. I'd love to know how they were getting on."

Rob recently revealed he was concerned about becoming an actor because of his mid-Western upbringing in the US.

He said: " When I was in Ohio, I was the only person I knew who wanted to be an actor. This is pre-'Glee'.

"It was definitely not cool to be different. But in Malibu I uncovered this group of kids who also wanted to be actors. And they just happened to be the Penn brothers and the Sheen brothers. And better, they only lived a few doors down from me!

"I thought, 'Wow, here are people with the same interests that I have. And they're not actually going to beat the living s**t out of me for having them'."
