Robbie Williams has completed writing his next solo album.

The singer - who recently finished a tour with his Old Boy band Take That - has been working on lyrics for his ninth album at his Los Angeles home, and thinks the results are his best ever.

He wrote on his blog: "Lyric progress? I wrote everything I needed to finish - aren't I a good boy?

"I know I like blanket statements about my music - but this album is by far my most consistent.

"We have an embarrassment of riches where singles are concerned - Happy Days."

The 'Angels' hitmaker is also planning on touring again soon, and has been asking fans to help him work out new set list for it.

He added: "I wrote out my dream set list for a future tour - Exciting. 'Me and my Monkey' hasn't made it I just don't think I can remember the words should I reconsider?"

Robbie is currently in negotiations for a label to release the record, after his last deal with EMI records - signed for a reported £55 million in 2002 - has been fulfilled.
