British pop star Robbie Williams has been asked to be godfather to his childhood pal and TV presenter JONATHAN WILKES' baby. The ANGELS hitmaker, who was the first to hear of the birth, has been firm friends with Wilkes since the pair grew up together in Stoke-On-Trent, England. And Wilkes insists, despite Williams' troubled past, he was the natural choice for godfather. He says, "Rob was the first to know about the baby and of course he's going to be godfather. He's my best mate."
