Robert De Niro's New Boxing Movie Has Been Tipped For Big Success After Sealing A Lucrative Deal With Harvey Weinstein's Team At The Cannes Film Festival.
The Weinstein Company snapped up the distribution rights to Hands of Stone on the first day of the glitzy movie event, which kicked off in France on Wednesday (13May15), following a fierce bidding war.
The movie tells the rags-to-riches story of boxing legend Robert Duran with De Niro as his trainer Ray Arcel, opposite Edgar Ramirez as Duran and singer Usher as iconic fighter Sugar Ray Leonard.
Hands of Stone is expected to hit cinemas late next year (16).
