Robert Downey Jr, Tina Fey and Ben Stiller are in talks to voice the lead characters in a new superhero animation entitled Master Mind.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Tropic Thunder co-stars Downey Jr and Stiller, along with 30 Rock Star Fey will voice the principals for Dreamworks' upcoming satire, set for a 2010 release.

Master Mind, written by Alan J Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, tells of a supervillain who finds his life comes to a standstill after he accidentally kills his heroic nemesis.

Stiller will also produce the film through his Red Hour Films company though there is as yet no confirmation of the roles he, Downey Jr and Fey will take.

Fey, a multiple award winner for NBC's sitcom 30 Rock, recently starred in US hit Baby Mama as well as starring in Invention of Lying, Ricky Gervais' debut film as a director.

Downey Jr, a Golden Globe nominee for Tropic Thunder, has Iron Man 2 and Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes in development this year, while Stiller will reprise his role as security guard Larry Daley in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.
