Robert Downey, Jr.'s son Indio's court date has been postponed so he can continue his rehab treatment.

The Iron Man's 20-year-old son was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after he was caught smoking from a pipe in his car in Los Angeles in June (14). He was also charged with misdemeanour possession of drug paraphernalia.

He headed to a live-in rehab facility to battle his drug demons, and the arraignment hearing, scheduled to take place on Thursday (28Aug14), has been pushed back so he can continue receiving treatment.

According to Tmz.com, Indio's attorney Blair Berk assured the judge that the defendant is doing well in the facility.

A new hearing has now been scheduled for September (14).

Downey, Jr. also battled drug problems when he found fame in Hollywood in the 1980s but he has since turned his life around.
