COMIC-CON, the world's biggest convention for comic books and sci-fi/fantasy film and TV, had to weather a press-storm on Thursday, as stars from the Twilight Saga - Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner descended on the San Diego event. ABC News reported that the trio were given the rock star treatment at their panel for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (Part 1), with some fans camping out for 4 days just to get a glimpse of their idols. The very few that managed to get into the event were shown a short scene from what is the first part of the final instalment of the series.
The LA Times reported that other stars from the series, including Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene and Elizabeth Reaser gave some of the fans that had been waiting so long a surprise meet-and-greet, signing autographs, talking at length to fans, and posing for pictures. The stars got up at 4.30am to descend on the unsuspecting fans at 6.30am, and Nikki Reed joked that she didn't look half as good as her Twilight character so early in the morning: "I don't look like Rosalie in the morning.I've had to sell myself to these fans over the years. But now I see a lot of familiar faces. Fans come talk to me and I love it. I'm fascinated with fandom in general." The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (Part 1), is scheduled for release on 18th November.
