U.S. TV anchor Robin Roberts has been diagnosed with a rare blood disorder.
The presenter, who overcame breast cancer five years ago, is preparing to undergo a bone marrow transplant in the autumn (12) after being told she has myelodysplastic syndrome, a blood and bone marrow disease.
Roberts, 51, became emotional as she discussed her health battle on Good Morning America on Monday (11Jun12), and told how her older sister will be her donor as she is a perfect match.
She said, "My doctors tell me I'm going to beat this, and I know it's true."
