Robin Williams' publicist has claimed the late star had no money issues in the lead up to his death earlier this week, despite recent speculation.
Robin Williams ''had no financial problems'' at the time of his death.
The comedy legend's publicist Mara Buxbaum has quashed rumours the late star had money issues in the lead up to his tragic death and she believes ''severe depression'' led him to commit suicide on August 11.
Speaking to The Wrap, she said: ''Robin had no financial problems. We should be blessed to have Robin's financial status. I understand the desire to understand the 'Why.' It's not going to happen.
''The better thing to do is to try to understand severe depression. That isn't going to be answered, and you can speculate all you want.''
Robin's third wife Susan Schneider has also revealed her spouse had recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease but he didn't feel ready to speak about his illness publicly at the time.
The 'Mrs. Doubtfire' star, 63, hanged himself with a belt at his home in Tiburon, California, and also had ''acute, superficial cuts on the inside of his left wrist.''
Chemical substances were also found in his system during an autopsy, but toxicology results will not be made available for approximately two to six weeks, so further tests can be carried out.
