Rod Stewart is looking forward to getting up close and personal with fans when he hits Las Vegas for a string of concerts later this year (11).
The Hot Legs hitmaker begins a two-year run of gigs at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in August (11), and he's already anticipating the stage show.
He tells Britain's The One Show, "10 days on, a month off, 10 days, a month off... It's such a great place to play, it's 4,500 people, not a bad seat in the house, tremendous acoustics.
"The stage is (not high), so by the end of the show I've got half the audience on the stage. It's fantastic. I've paid my dues, I enjoy it... people that come to see me can see I enjoy it. It's written all over my face. I give the people what they want."
Stewart isn't the only superstar lighting up the Colosseum with a residency - Celine Dion is currently performing there and Elton John is also set for a string of 2011/2012 shows.
