PINK FLOYD star Roger Waters' harrowing opera is to be premiered in Poland as part of their communist-era commemorations in July (06). CA IRA, which took the songwriter 16 years to write, charts the events of the French Revolution - and is deemed a relevant part of the celebrations marking Poland's freedom from the communist regime. Waters says, "I'm very moved that I can play music here after (the) struggle for freedom." Director JOZEF JOZEFOWICZ adds, "This is a modern story about freedom and people who are looking for freedom."
