British rocker Roger Waters is set to join the cast of a New York play next week (beg26Nov12).

The Pink Floyd star will act in a revival of The Exonerated, which tells the true story of six Americans who were handed the death sentence for crimes they did not commit and were later pardoned.

The play is a revival of a 2002 production and has featured a rotating supporting cast, which has included Stockard Channing, Marg Helgenberger and Brooke Shields.

Waters will join the production at the Culture Project venue in Manhattan for the final week, running from 27 November (12) until 2 December (12).
