The Rolling Stones have failed to sell out their 50 & Counting world tour opener in Los Angeles on Friday (03May13) because fans have refused to spend $600 (£375) on best-seat tickets.

The wrinkly rockers will kick off the tour at the Staples Center, but it won't be the capacity gig they were hoping for.

The concert was initially scheduled to take place on Thursday (02May13), but the group rescheduled to perfect rehearsals, which included a club show at The Echoplex in Echo Park, Los Angeles last Saturday (27Apr13).
