The Rolling Stones remain locked in negotiations over the Tv coverage of their Glastonbury performance just a day before they are due to hit the stage at the legendary British music festival.

The band has signed up to headline the event's iconic Pyramid Stage on Saturday night (29Jun13), but reports emerged last month (May13) suggesting the rockers were unhappy with plans to broadcast their set on the Bbc.

Festival founder Michael Eavis recently suggested a deal had been made to show an hour of the Stones' performance, but it has now emerged the two parties were still without agreement on Friday afternoon.

A spokesman for the Bbc tells the London Evening Standard, "The discussions with artists are absolutely business as usual. Our conversations with The Rolling Stones have been extremely constructive and are ongoing."

An insider tells the newspaper The Rolling Stones will not finalise the deal until hours before the big gig: "The band will decide how much will be shown tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 29 June). They signed up to perform on stage - not to appear on a television programme. Glasto is not a Tv show."
