The Rolling Stones made their live return in Paris on Thursday night (25.10.12).

The legendary rockers thrilled the 600 fans who filed into the intimate Le Trabendo rock club in the French capital to watch the band's first live performance since 2007.

Singer Sir Mick Jagger, drummer Charlie Watts and guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood were accompanied by keyboardist Chuck Leavell and bassist Darryl Jones for a lively one-hour set, playing 12 of their biggest hits including 'Miss You' and new single 'Doom and Gloom'.

The Rolling Stones are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year and are warming up for their four arena dates by playing a series of small club gigs in Paris, under their alias the Cockroaches.

The ''secret'' show was announced on twitter early on Thursday morning, with tickets a steal at 15 Euros (£12), a stark contrast to their whopping London prices, which started at £95.00.

Ronnie revealed the group were planning a series of warm-up concerts, saying: ''We'll bung a few [shows] in. I don't know who we'll be billed as but we'll turn up somewhere and put a few to the test.''

Tickets to the Stones' O2 Arena London gigs on November 25 and 29 sold out within seven minutes. Fans are awaiting the release of tickets to their December 13 and 15 shows in

Newark Prudential Center, New Jersey, today (26.10.12).
