Former WESTLIFE singer Ronan Keating was plagued with doubt after leaving the boyband for a solo career.
The LIFE IS A ROLLERCOASTER star admits he sometimes woke up in the middle of the night convinced his solo work would flop.
Ronan says, "I could have stayed with Boyzone and made another album, but I'm very adventurous. I like a challenge. Of course, there were a few nervous moments.
"Recording the first album, I woke up at 4am in a cold sweat, worried sick, thinking, 'What the f*** have I done?' But you never know unless you try."
And Ronan was surprised by the angry reaction his former bandmates gave him.
He says, "Everyone knew I was going to do it. I didn't have to tell them. It was just on the cards. We'd been together six years and that is a long time for a boyband.
