Actress Roselyn Sanchez had a difficult time prying herself away from her newborn daughter to film Tv series Devious Maids, because she went back to work just four weeks after giving birth.
The Act of Valor star welcomed a baby girl, Sebella Rose, with husband Eric Winter in January, 2012), but she didn't let motherhood slow her down and she began filming the new U.S. drama the following month (Feb12).
She tells People magazine, "It was insanity. I was breastfeeding all the time. She'd (daughter) be sitting in my lap in the makeup chair. She was, like, the mascot of the set! I wish that I could be home with my child, but I do care about my career. I'd been waiting eight years to work with (series creator Marc Cherry)."
And the actress is glad she was able to reunite with her former co-star Eva Longoria, who produces the show and ironically beat out Sanchez for the leading role in Cherry's Desperate Housewives.
She adds, "She's an inspiration. We did (American Tv series) Dragnet together years ago and became friends. I was up for her Desperate Housewives role, but I was happy for her when she got it."
