As if to rub salt into the wound, Rosie ODonnell has been slammed by magnate Donald Trump after 'The Rosie Show' was cancelled by Oprah Winfrey's Own network. O'Donnell and Trump have a long-running feud, but The Apprentice boss couldn't resist taking another swipe at the television star.
Tweeting after news of O'Donnell's axing was announcing, Trump told followers, "Rosie O'Donnell has failed again. Her ratings were abysmal and Oprah cancelled her on Friday night. When will media executives learn that Rosie just hasn't got it". The Oprah Winfrey Network announced on Friday evening (March 16, 2012) that 'The Rosie Show' would tape its final episode on Tuesday March 20, with the show airing on March 30, 2012. In October last year, Trump told Access Hollywood that he was actually hoping O'Donnell was successful, saying, "Actually, I would like to see her be successful because everything Oprah does, ultimately, is successful, so I think Rosie will be successful". The show began with an initial 500,000 viewers, but that figure quickly dropped to around 417,000.
