Rudimental star Dj Locksmith broke down and wept "like a big baby" when the band was forced to cut short its Glastonbury festival set on Friday (29Jun14) as an electrical storm shut down large parts of the farmland site.
A huge thunderstorm, with torrential rain and violent lightning, hit the event in south west England as the group was wrapping up its set on the first official day of the festival, and organisers shut down power to all the outdoor stages and suspended the performances for almost an hour.
The closure forced the suspension of the Bbc's online streaming of the festival and jeopardised Tv coverage, while Rudimental were among the acts whose sets were cut short by the drama.
DJ Locksmith has since admitted he was so upset by the abrupt ending to the band's triumphant performance that he sobbed at the side of the stage when they were told they would not be allowed to return.
He says, "I was in tears. I wanted to stay on so badly... I was like a big baby."
Canadian rockers Arcade Fire will headline the main stage on Friday, with Metallica and Kasabian due to top the bill on Saturday (28Jun14) and Sunday (29Jun14).
