Russell Brand has been given some good news after the axe of his U.S. talk show - the British comic is to star in a new comedy series based on his own life.
Network bosses at Fx are pulling the plug on his late-night programme Brand X, but the funnyman is currently developing a live-action show, which he will star in and produce.
Confirming reports, Fx CEO John Landgraf explains, "It'll be a live action show that is loosely based on his life like Curb Your Enthusiasm is loosely based on Larry David's life."
Seinfeld co-creator David played a fictionalised version of himself in hit Tv comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm.
