Ryan Gosling has been displaying some pretty heroic behaviour in New York recently, saving a British journalist from being hit by a car, when she forgot that traffic flows the other way to her native country. Laurie Penny, a journalist for The Guardian and The Independent, was about to step into the road when the 31 year old actor reached out and grabbed her, pulling her out of the path of an oncoming car.
On April 3, Laurie posted a message on her Twitter page, that read "I literally, Literally just got saved from a car by Ryan Gosling. Literally. That actually just happened." Then another, with more detail explained "I was crossing 6th avenue in a new pink wig. Not looking the right way because I am from London. Ryan Gosling grabbed me away from a taxi." Media interest in the incident has escalated since it happened, though Penny seems keen to distance herself from the drama. Yesterday (April, 4, 2012), she posted another message that implored "EVERYBODY NEEDS TO CALM DOWN ABOUT Ryan Gosling NOW," later explaining that her phone had not stopped ringing with media enquiries.
